Bleh!

Posted on Thursday, April 29th, 2010 at 8:19 am

My car is being problematic.  For one, it’s running rough at idle, and it’s lacking positive acceleration at full throttle.

.

Then when washing off dust and pollen, the windshield cracked.  Cool water on hot glass is what seems to have happened.  First time for everything I guess.

.

The internet has been very erratic this morning, often taking several clicks to get anywhere.  Sometimes a dozen or more clicks are needed.

.

All in all, not in a great mood, as I’m having to learn Windows-only web authoring software for a client on a Windows machine.  Bleh!

Avatar

I have noticed the recent rash of Avatar models and morphs appearing online in the last month, pretty much to be expected with the appropriate creation lag (reference searching, study, modeling, texturing, etc).  Some are better than others.

This one is not so bad, though I would have liked to see a slightly higher resolution in the mesh in places.  The specular can show the facet angles, so a little subdivision in the model and in the rendering, along with specular reduction, made for better results.  I also needed to remove some stray parts that exported to the wrong places.  It needs a little extra texturing, but a good place to start.

Gone, Solid Gone

It never fails to amaze me how some people love to wear their ignorance on their sleeves as if it were a badge of honor.  It’s sad to see some people try to be wits when they have zero comprehension of issues at hand, and  then see some people pat the would-be wits on the back as if they were clever.

I have bid farewell to the Poser community.  I’ve had enough.

Spring blur

Posted on Tuesday, April 13th, 2010 at 12:05 am

April is almost half over, and my head is in a spin.  Been a string of engagements, parties, etc. mixed with work.  Lots of fun, but also lots of grit.  And it’s deep spring with everything abloom.  Motivation can be hard to find.

R&R

Rest & recovery, post-partium…..

.

The body is expectedly sore from the party, though I’m starting to deal with it better.  But I’m not ready to do a lot of physical work, or a lot of any kind of work.  But I am getting things done, despite the ache and pain enhanced impetus to remain stolidly at rest.

.

Poser Pro 2010 went onto my hard drive.  Even though I’m no longer producing for it, it is a useful resource tool.  I need to compare the Poser Fusion plug with the interPose Pro plug in C4D.

.

I was told that I have a gig on Easter Sunday.  Being volunteered is one of those things I’ll never get used to, especially musically.

.

Not in a very chipper April Fools mood.  All I’ve seen today are very lame AF jokes.  None of the encountered attempts at humor have left me with a smile.  Why does 4/1 so often bring out the worst of the humorists.
