Chills and Thrills

Just emerged from a wet bed after a severe case of the chills.  I haven’t the faintest idea of the source of the flash fever, as there are no other symptoms and no forewarning.  I was sitting at the Mac as usual, and bang!  I was so consumed by it, I wasn’t even able to dig for the hair dryer near the head of my bed, already plugged in, to warm myself.  I just used my breath to warm the bed while I rode it out.

Patty Finney was wonderful last night.  She did three sessions, and I did video recording on the Nikon as well as audio from the mixer board.  Being my first session with video, there were a few lessons learned, and not all of the show was usable.  But the majority of the show is good footage.  I’ll have no problem creating a few song tracks by editing the two products together.

I discovered that the 16G flash chip (SDHC) doesn’t work in the USB reader I got today.  The new 4G works fine, but not the 16.  Fortunately, the old PC laptop has a flash card reader slot, and I can transfer the video content from the camera to memory sticks this way.  Trying to capture a gig or two (or ten) of video using iPhoto is pure folly.

Spring Fling is this coming weekend.  And Helen’s birthday is next weekend, back to back all weekend parties…..  Sigh!

Gulping down liquids to replace the loss from the sweat.  Argh!
