Bloonts

Back in Brenham again.  Austin was fun and profitable and restful. I enjoyed my stay.

.

But it’s good to have my phone again.  The spare phone took my card, but I need to re-up my images and ringtones to my site again.  Those were stored on the phone, not the card.  And the address book was a culmination of the two, so I had to cull the dupes and excess.

.

The wild flowers are good this year.  It’s not the best year in my memory, but still quite impressive.  I saw blue bonnets, paint brushes, wine cups, phlox, primrose, and more.  It was definitely an eye pleasing journey home.

.

Along with the wild flowers were the tourists.  I saw grannies directing the poses of their grandkids sitting in the patches of blue.  I also got to see the downtown Brenham chaos.  The scent of tourist dollars was thick.  Another place to avoid on weekends.  It’s sort of like Montgomery during Renaissance Festival, stay in on weekends, business as usual on weekdays.

.

I found that the oil pan plug on the pickup is dripping slowly.  The guy who changed the oil noted that it was a little loose fitting, so I need to talk to Doug about it.  I also need to get a quart of oil next trip to the store.

.

I have a short shopping list.  I have popped the insulation on the iPad cord.  Being also for iPhone, there are plenty of inexpensive alternatives.  Financially, I’m doing fairly well at the moment.  The Lone Star card helps, and it’s set for installments through August.

.

I need to register for medical care here in Brenham at the public clinic.  My blood pressure isn’t going down as much as I’d like.  That’s the one negative this spring, but it’s one with which I can live.  I don’t look forward to going back on meds, but I don’t think there’s a way around it, at least not yet.
