Rib eyes, jambalaya, and tails

Meals and cookings are being scheduled for the rest of the week.  Rib eyes were last night.  Pastrami and baby swiss tonight.  Eggs and jambalaya are tomorrow.  The rest of the sirloins on Thursday.  Burger for lunch and pot pie for dinner.  Friday morning is garbage pick up.  All the big waste meals are done.   Chicken strips and shrimp (fried/frozen) on Friday.  Saturday, whatever is left over in the fridge.  More than listed will be consumed (bacon and cheddar tacos, cheesecake, ice cream, etc.)   I will be working on bundling steaks, ribs, chicken, pork loin, and more from the freezer for the month of October’s road trip.  I might be bringing some of it home with me.

The biggest gecko lost its tail, nothing but a fat stub.  Either a cat or a bird are my prime suspicions.  Maybe an anole, a big one, but they tend to go for the head in a scuffle.  It looks awfully funky.

Made Myka a three box castle with ample little windows.  She loves it.

Mental fundamentals for the scale of packing has been the big chore, though it is by no means all.  I have hard drive cleaning and prep, as I’ll only be taking one external drive with me.  Only a few changes of clothes, not the whole wardrobe.  12 string and mixer for recording.  Lots of scaling for one month duration in three segments.

Doing pretty well, but my back still needs ample breaks.  So that is a major consideration in packing, even on a light scale.  Five days and counting.
