Easter began with a baked potato soup using ham. I had a bag of potatoes from before the party that needed cooking, and I ended getting a half gallon of milk instead of a quart, as they were out of quarts on Friday evening. It turned out quite well. Myka loved the tiny ham bites from dicing the irregular pieces from the bone.

I’m finally out of party ice. Emptied the ice trays for the first time in over a week.

Jambalaya is next to be cooked. Waiting for the soup to cool first. Only prep for that is dicing a solid chunk of ham. Everything else is ready to roll. Dishes are done. I will be eating well.
