Blowin’ in the Wind

Whenever the wind blows from the east, I can smell Dairy Queen’s french fries. While the source of the aroma is a vent that is 270 feet away, I have resisted going and buying fries for a number of years. Today, I bought fries from the DQ. However, the wind is out of the WNW, so it had nothing to do with their exhaust vent.

I ordered an alpaca cap. I have two alpaca hoods, and my SOP wool/poly cap, but no alpaca cap. So I ordered one. On a Friday in December. No hurry, but I figured that it would be a good item for clothing of the month, which has been pretty strong tradition this autumn. A way of winding it down. I have a good winter wardrobe now. And unlike the $10 shoes, the cap should last quite a few years.

Still running subnormal, though I am doing considerably better. Today’s store run was pretty routine, no tail dragging. Back on the celecoxib, off ibuprofen. Thinking of changing the alarm song. (Okay, it’s now Eh, Petite Fille by Clifton Chenier.) Any way, I am getting back into the swing of things again. If I could get 98.6°F working again…

Got a tube of pan sausage to make gravy. Bag of taters. Also got a pan of cornbread, which is actually pretty good for a store bakery. Got produce. This and that. Kitchen is fluffed out for the next week. Pork tenderloin/broccoli fettuccine alfredo, spuds and sausage gravy, rib eye tacos, brie and cold pork tenderloin, steamed veggies, eggs ackley, fillers like pizza, popcorn shrimp, etc. Life could be worse.

Things are going pretty well. There is room for improvement, but considerably less than there has been for over two weeks.
