Quiet deresolution, the lyrical rewrite

I watched a copy of Pinocchio today, and was amused to discover that the “A Pirate’s Life for Me” from Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest was a rip-off of “An Actor’s Life for Me’ as sung by Honest John (the fox) and at various points thereafter in the animation.

I’m not denying Disney’s right to rerwite the lyrics to a song that practically no one remembers. I just think it’s rather amusing about the source of the song that so many wannabe pirates are singing these days. Talk about some long noses…….
