Still fevered

A month has passed since I came down with a fever, and I still haven’t shaken it yet. Grrrr. It’s not something antibiotics can cure, so I just have to ride it out.
Worst part of it is that I haven’t been in any shape to generate income, and bills are due.
It has made me a little sensitive at times to those defending the nuclear industry in the wake of the Fukashima Daiichi incident. Their arguments that nuclear energy is 100% safe are often so closed-minded. Some of my pet peeves are:
1 It can’t happen here.
2 Tsunami 28,000, radiation 0
3 The ocean always dilutes the radiation to where it’s harmless.
4 There is only wind and solar panels as non-carbon alternatives to nuclear.
5 No immediate health risk.
6 Criticalities can’t take place in shut down, even with damaged fuel rods.
7 Cl-38 can’t form from saltwater without Na-24 also being present, despite the presence of large quantities of boron in the water.
8 Profit margin plays no part in nuclear plant safety shortcuts.
9 Man is clearly superior to nuclear power.
10 Man is not arrogant to assume that he is superior to nuclear forces.
11 Modern nuclear plants can’t fail.
I could go on, but these are the fallacies I am hearing most often.
