Sluggish approach to summer

Another set of storms passing through this morning, plenty of thunder and lightning, but none in close range. There was about two inches of rain on Wednesday. Somerville has been releasing water for about a week, and this will extend that. By mid-week, we’ll see a brief spell of 90s, prompting the AC for a few days. But then it will be back in the 80s for a while longer.

I got a set of garden prunes on my last store run, and I sculpted the front yard pathways to make it passable after a rain without getting wet. It’s a big boon for unloading the truck and putting trash on the curb without dodging the foliage. The art of sculpting nature…

The grocery has frozen jumbo shrimp, tail on, on sale, at least technically. They have been out of stock since the first couple of hours of the sale. I’ve made an effort twice now.

I have managed to recover from the party. I was good to myself at the party, and that helped accelerate the healing. So it was a short R&R.

The avocados I got are gone, spudacado w/Tombstone Mesquite taco meat. The spud was a big one, with both avocados. Needless to say, I didn’t eat anything else for a while. Having trouble gobbling down the cheesecake. I’m averaging a piece every other day. That is not going to cut it.

I topped off the truck and bought shrimp, tamales, and minis this morning after it stopped raining. The tamales were the house brand, and the shrimp were large, at regular price. I was tired of burning gas trying to get the ones on sale. This way, I can sit at home and be lazy.

The Swiss Army Knife is in DFW (Carrollton).
